Part of what makes Tipp City special are its historic signs, including the Battle Ax Plug sign on Harrison’s Restaurant, the famous glowing Sam & Ethel’s sign and the Gem City Ice Cream advertisement on 2nd Street. These are just three of the vintage signs that can be seen and photographed when visiting the historic district.

Sidney is one of the most fun towns in the region to photograph. It may not have as many vintage signs as Greenville, but its small town charm is prevalent in the architecture, statues and historic landmarks located within and surrounding the city. The bright lights of the Historic Sidney Theatre and The Spot are iconic, so make sure to visit at night.

The towns surrounding Grand Lake St. Marys and Indian Lake also harken back to a more nostalgic era in advertising, including historic signs at restaurants and hotels. Towns along the Ohio River retain their early boom-town charms, with furniture stores and movie theaters standing out in particular.
