Pygmalion in Piqua | April 4-7

The Edison Stagelight Players will present George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion,” directed by Edison State Professor of English William Loudermilk. Performances will be held in the Robinson Theater at Edison State Community College’s Piqua Campus. “Pygmalion” is a play about Eliza Doolittle, a lower-class flower girl who speaks with a Cockney accent, and Henry Higgins, a higher-class man who believes he can change her accent and pass her off as a duchess. Performances take place on Friday through Sunday at 7:30 p.m. each night. Performances will also be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults or $5 for students and seniors.

Exploring Wildlife Diversity: Mushrooms in Waynesville | April 10
Did you know that Ohio is home to over 2,000 species of wild mushrooms? Mid-April through May is prime mushroom time in Ohio depending on where you live. Several species are edible and a delicious meal if properly prepared. Presented by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, instructors at this free event from 6-8 p.m. will focus on Ohio’s most sought-after edible mushroom, the morel. Learn the basics of how to identify them, where to find them, and laws on collecting. The class is free, but registration is required, and space is limited. GLOhio Vintage Christmas (& Halloween) Meet in Piqua | April 11-12

This annual Christmas Meet & All Holidays Marketplace takes place on Friday evening and Saturday at the Apple Tree Gallery, a year-round Christmas and Halloween store located at 405 N. Main St. It features more than 20 vendors selling vintage Christmas, Halloween and other holiday items and collectibles from the late 1800s through the 1980s. This includes old-fashioned ornaments, window displays, lighted items and much more. The event takes place from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
