Enchanted Fairy Garden Purse Auction Raises Crucial Funds for Tipp Monroe Community Services’ Lunch On Us Program

Information provided
TIPP CITY – The Tipp Monroe Community Services (TMCS) Enchanted Fairy Garden Purse Auction and Luncheon brought style and generosity together once again on Saturday, March 15, at the Tipp City Global Methodist Church. The event featured a variety of activities, including a live and silent purse auction, a boutique, a luncheon, raffles, door prizes, and a new table decorating contest. This year, guests who purchased tables were invited to showcase their creativity by providing their own table décor. Thirteen tables were beautifully decorated, with Tammy Rehnart's table taking the top prize. Her enchanting display, which featured a large tree, twinkling lights, and whimsical fairies, captivated the panel of secret judges.

The live auction, led by Gale Gingerich and Brent Hudson, showcased 56 new purses, each containing at least one gift card. Several local businesses generously contributed purses, including Main Street Financial-Thrivent-Matt Buehrer, Home Expert Realty-Dana Ward, Alvetro Orthodontics, Deb Jackson, Joanna Pittenger, Pam Hale, Olde English Outfitters, Witches of Dow St., Park National Bank, Tipp City Enrichment Program, and Tipp City Schools. In addition to the live auction, the silent auction offered 36 new and gently used purses, while the boutique sold vintage and gently loved purses and jewelry.

Proceeds from the auction are a significant funding source for TMCS’s Lunch On Us program, which would otherwise cost the organization approximately $55,000. According to the TMCS Executive Director, "This fundraiser continues to be crucial for the program's success. We are very grateful for the support of our community." Last summer, the Lunch On Us program provided 6,651 free lunches to local children. Meals are prepared at the Tipp City Global Methodist Church, which donates its facilities, and delivered to seven neighborhoods using a van provided by Tipp City Schools. The program also benefits from food, gift cards, and monetary donations from the community.

This year’s luncheon was catered by StoryPoint Troy, which generously donated a portion of the food and staff. Additional contributions came from Sam and Ethel’s Restaurant, Mel-O-Dee Restaurant, Tiffany Doseck, and Toni Hutchinson.

At the close of the event, TMCS announced the 2026 theme: Ohio on the Red Carpet. Guests will once again have the opportunity to decorate their own tables. TMCS will decorate tables for those who opt out, but all participants are encouraged to adhere to the theme. Tickets for next year’s auction go on sale in February 2026.
The continued success of the Enchanted Fairy Garden Purse Auction ensures that TMCS can support the Lunch On Us program for another summer. Those interested in donating or volunteering are encouraged to contact the TMCS office at 937-667-8631.
