Troy Announces Practice Field Closures

TROY - Troy City Schools' construction of their new buildings will begin this summer. This construction involves building on the City of Troy practice fields at Cookson and Hook Schools. These practice fields are now closed. This week, flooding at the Knoop complex has displaced users of that facility.

 

   With a shortage of fields, coaches and other field users are asked to share the fields as needed.

 

   Below is a list of practice fields and greenspaces available. If a field is lined, there is a scheduled game on that field for the evening and it is closed. If a field is not lined, it is open for practice on a first-come, first-serve basis.

 

Practice Fields Available:

• Heywood School

• Boyer Park

• Community Park

• Trostle Park/Mercer Field (when not lined for a game)

• Archer Park (when not lined for a game)

Green Spaces Available:

•  Carriage Crossing Park

• Trinity Park

• King's Chapel Park (tee ball only)

• Archer Park (soccer fields)
