Historic Homes Holiday Tour Returns to Piqua on Dec. 14
Information provided
PIQUA - It’s back and tickets are on sale NOW! It’s the biggest holiday season event in Piqua, and it’s full of good old-fashioned holiday spirit. Tour each of the seven properties, each decorated in seasonal style. And since the tour is December 14, you even have time to “borrow” decorating ideas that you’ll see and add them to your own home.
For nearly a decade, the Historic Homes Holiday Tour has been a prime event in the Piqua seasonal calendar. Each ground floor tour features a different style, as individual as the family currently living there.
A couple of special connections to the District are featured this year: PCHD vice-president Lotte Welbaum with her husband Chad alongside Social Media Chair Emily Pedro (and husband Jeff) are opening their homes on the tour. “It’s a lot of work, yes, but it’s so much fun too,” Welbaum says. “And that night, seeing folks come through and enjoying all the homes, the decorations: it’s all wonderful. We’re really pleased to have had the assistance
of Ashley Campbell Interiors too, who helped my ideas for the decoration come to life.
“It’s our first year on the Historic Homes Holiday Tour,” said Emily Pedro. “It is a big job, but it’s a lot of fun too!” The Pedros already have wreaths up, and they look brilliant against the house of light gray painted brick and crisp navy trim.
