Covington Hometown Christmas | Nov. 29
Enjoy a full evening of activities starting with a parade at 5 p.m., music at Glacier View Coffee, a visit from Santa at the Government Building from 5:30-8:30 p.m., free carriage rides, a performance by the Community Church Choir at 6 p.m. and the Tree Lighting at 7 p.m. Additionally, there will be more than a dozen vendors outside and many more inside of the old Sellman’s building from 4-8:30 p.m., as well as food trucks. Admission is free.

Christmas Bazaar in Arcanum | Nov. 29-30

This bazaar at 123 W. George St. features gently used holiday items, including wreaths, table top decorations, ornaments and Christmas trees (both decorated and ones ready to set up and decorate yourself), plus many others items. While you are there you can pick up some Christmas treats at Santa’s Bake Shop. During the Bazaar there will be door prizes, an in-house raffle, and 50-50 raffle. Live Nativity Walk in Pleasant Hill | Dec. 6-7

Presented by Stillwater Community Church, this event features six guided “walks” each night. The first walk starts at 6 p.m., with other walks conducted every half hour and last at 8:30 p.m.  Each walk takes you back in time more than 2,000 years and tells the story of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. You will walk to the home of Mary, follow Mary to Elizabeth’s home, and visit Joseph’s carpenter shop in Nazareth. You will then travel to the inn in Bethlehem, visit outdoors with the shepherds, and listen as the angels announce the birth of Jesus. Finally, you will travel with the shepherds to the stable to see the new-born Savior! After each walk, you are invited to warm up by a crackling fire and to enjoy some hot chocolate and delicious homemade cookies. Admission is free. The event takes place at the church, 7900 W. Sugar Grove Road (a half-mile west of St. Rt. 48), between Pleasant Hill and Covington in the quiet countryside.

Christmas in the Village in Waynesville | Dec. 6-8
The downtown will be adorned in traditional holiday décor and there will be strolling carolers and entertainers, plus more than 60 retail shops and boutiques, plus restaurants. Takes place 6-9 p.m. Friday; 1-8 p.m. Saturday; and 1-4 p.m. Sunday. LEARN MORE
