Christmas Meet & All Holidays Marketplace Set for April 11-12 in Piqua

PIQUA - This annual Christmas Meet & All Holidays Marketplace takes place on Friday evening and Saturday at the Apple Tree Gallery, a year-round Christmas and Halloween store located at 405 N. Main St.

   It features more than 20 vendors selling vintage Christmas, Halloween and other holiday items and collectibles from the late 1800s through the 1980s. This includes old-fashioned ornaments, window displays, lighted items and much more.

   The event takes place from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is $8, which is good both days. Additionally, there will be a Pine Cone People workshop from 6-8 p.m. on Friday and three Christmas-themed lectures on Saturday. As part of admission on Saturday, guests can learn about: "The Art of Christmas Display Design" with Carrie Sensing; "The World of Styrene Christmas Plastics 1940s-60s and a Smidgin Beyond" with Chuck Braden; and "Dayton, Ohio: Two Christmas Celebrations Circa 1910" with Connie Porcher.
