Comprehensive Plan Approved in Troy

Information provided

TROY - At its meeting on October 23, the Planning Commission approved Troy's new Comprehensive Plan. This plan outlines guidelines for land use, transportation, sustainability, housing, public utilities, and more. It will steer development and policy decisions for the next 20 years, with updates scheduled every five to ten years.

Since December 2023, Troy's consultant team from American Structurepoint, along with City staff, has reviewed feedback from over 50 stakeholders, more than 150 participants in public engagements, and 682 responses to community surveys to draft the Future Land Use map and Transportation Plan.

"The approval of this Comprehensive Plan is the culmination of months and months of meetings, work sessions, public meetings, and many countless manhours of work,” said Mayor Robin Oda. “Thank you to all who participated in this intense effort.  We now look forward to continuing the work with American Structurepoint on a new Unified Development Code (UDC), which will replace our existing zoning code."
