CASSTOWN - The Board of Miami County Commissioners is proud to announce the investment of over $4,000,000 for the construction of over two and half miles of waterline, providing residents with access to quality water for years to come. This investment will also include the costs needed to bring the waterline directly to the homes.
The project is a multi-jurisdictional collaboration. The City of Troy has committed almost $1,500,000 to the project. Additionally, the Village of Casstown has been awarded a grant of $500,000 from the Ohio Public Works Commission which will be put towards the project.
“The project has been a priority for us for quite some time. This is crucial for the quality of life for these Casstown residents,” said the Miami County Commissioners. “There have been a lot of moving parts to this project that took some time to navigate, but we remained dedicated to seeing it through. Our Sanitary Engineering office did a great job of getting this over the finish line.” The Commissioners added, “We appreciate the partnership with the City of Troy and the Village of Casstown to make this happen.”
Construction of the line is set to begin in mid-March of this coming year.
