Shannon Clark to Host the Cardinal Cabaret at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center April 10
Provided by Troy-Hayner Cultural Center
TROY - The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center is making new connections with a very successful singer-songwriter event in our area. In 2018 Shannon Clark began the series in Greenville, Ohio as a way of showcasing and supporting the talents of our regional musicians. “By representing a collection of musicians, we can share our fans and begin to build a community of music-goers,” says Shannon. “There are just so many talented musicians around here. These folks are creating the next generation in the sound of rock, pop and country music.” Shannon also books nationally known singer-songwriters to create an environment that supports and nurtures his artists.
On April 10, 2025 at 6:30 pm the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center will be hosting one of Shannon’s events. Six musicians will take a turn at the mic, sharing their recent and most favorite creative endeavors. Shannon himself will take a set. He is known to have a soulful Americana mood to his writings. He has performed previously at the Hayner, on Prouty Plaza in Troy and everywhere from Nashville to New York. Seth Canan is another singer-songwriter who is well known in Troy. He embraces a wide range of styles. His friend John Hendry of Trojan City Music says Seth Canan is like Neil Young, Tom Petty and Led Zeppelin with some Foo Fighters on top. Noah Smith will also be part of the party. Noah is a graduate of the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and runs a very successful singer-songwriter series of his own out of Cincinnati. You can learn more about Noah at “Noah Smith’s Crooner Circus.” Also playing for the Hayner’s event is alt-country artist Matthew Douglas Simpson who will be coming to us from Cynthiana, Kentucky. Joe Howard is a Greenville, Ohio native and performs with Shannon Clark and the Sugar. Caileen Tallant will share tender lyrics of love in her own mix of country, folk and Americana.
